Very close to updating my main site blog with all the posts from my microblog! Will finish tomorrow. Maybe. Not up to me really ╮(︶▽︶)╭

• New page, Blog. Need a place to keep my longform posts to transfer to my more official blog on my site (it’s easier to write blog posts here for some reasons sweats).
• Added three project ideas to 2026 Projects page, “Replace pronouns.cc with a handcoded h-card,” “Dec 2025 Ina11 Recs: AO3 Collection,” “Ina11 Recs: Pillowfort community.”
• Added three categories to the Directory page, Ina11Recs, Ina11Otome, and Fannish 50 2026.

Five new feeds for my reader adding up to a total of seventy three! It was really fun to scour the sites from folks I follow across the net for their feeds (´ ∀ ` *)

I’ve noticed that while my motivations of using social media used to be to find like minded fannish folks, lately I haven’t talked about fandom at all. It’s been mostly about the internet itself and web dev.

I know it’s call an RSS feed (subject) but I like the idea of looking for feeds (subject) to feed (verb) into my reader ╮(︶▽︶)╭

I have been consistently using an RSS feed reader for about a month (perhaps). During this time, I have been searching around the net for feeds to stuff in my reader and it led me to wonder, which familiar spaces have had this feature which I had never considered/used till now? Sixty seven feeds on my RSS feed reader! Should probably add Tumblr Staff’s feed as well. Gotta learn from experience.

Edit: Sixty eight! Already regretting getting their feed on my reader (-_-)

Aaaannnddd the glitch is from CapyReader’s side! Fluent Reader on desktop just grabs the feed from that category. I’ll trying getting the link to that feed again, or another one, to see if that fixes it.

Edit: I have no idea what I did to get this error but it’s okay now! Grabbing the feed from the RRS icon worked fine this time around.

Edit 2: I was almost able to recreate the “issue” but I couldn’t find what I did.

Wait my MaryLinks category feed redirects to the full feed of my blog. Oh no… (ﾒ﹏ﾒ). Edit: I’m SO confused, it just happened on mobile! AHHHH!!!୧((#Φ益Φ#))୨

One other micro.blog workings lesson, webmentions from Mastodon show up on my micro.blog. Likely because I verified my Masto account with my website before adding webmentions. What a web!

So when I mention someone it doesn’t show up on my timeline but they do on my settings 🤔? Interesting… I’m gonna send an email then.

Edit: wait nope, that was me. Fixed it pfft.

So in the Timeline section, choosing the option “Show posts but not replies” includes one’s own replies.

Can’t post from Quill not the web. Bar at the bottom doesn’t move. Is it my end? (I don’t think so). Posting from the app now for final verification. Edit: Somehow that made it work!

Added 13 drafts of long posts I haven’t finished to micro.blog. Hopefully this effort will help me get some done.

Gah, I have so many comments on Pillowfort to reply to! cries Stupid ProtonMail collapses all my emails from the same sender. Pfio comments email aren’t from the same person ProtonMail, ahhhh!!!

Maybe I can remove that feature. Let’s see… edit: Fantastic, I was able to ungroup emails!

I’ve been able to post solid drafts of longform posts faster using micro.blog the past week than drafting on Obsidian for the past year or so. I need to bring those drafts here and get them done. Some have been sitting since last year at the earliest.

DMing someone for the first time on Tumblr is such a vast different experience from doing the same on Pfio. On the former, it feels like knocking into a stranger’s home, transgressive, wrong. Over on Pfio, DMs are a tool for communication, a method to share information directed at one person. Like sending mail to a friend or acquaintance.

I used the DM feature on both sites about a day apart and I was surprised the at the my emotional reaction between sites.

The thought of deleting my Tumblr account crossed my mind a couple of days ago and there’s only two reasons I haven’t done that yet. 1) Several mutuals I follow I only know them from there (dang I should really DM them). 2) I had so many amazing conversations with new moots it makes me really sad to lost if I were to delete that account.

Need to try this. I also downloaded an official Tumblr archive but I haven’t opened it to see how reusable it is.

What is a Hitching Post on Pillowfort?and some examples. Reminds me of a week in review. Answers questions such as ‘what happened that week in your circle? What conversations did you have?’

Apart from conversations, I would also share any new folks I followed and why. The format of Coy’s examples also reminded me of reading a newspaper. Something like, ‘on this weeks news…’ insert bullet point list of events.
